John Laing Training (JLT) is an established private training provider working
with employers to provide on-site assessments, bespoke qualifications
and innovative training solutions.

Through the development of individuals we contribute to the up skilling of the workforce. We deliver a range of high quality vocational training across the construction sector. We are accredited by City & Guilds, C-Skills and Construction Awards Alliance with more than 20 years experience of meeting the needs of Construction employers in London, East & South East of England.  During this time JLT has supported a range of employers to achieve their training ambitions and as a result has developed considerable experience and expertise in developing, delivering, evaluating and improving training. JLT delivers accredited construction qualifications to prisoners, on behalf of the Prison Service. This is in response to the Government strategic review of prisons which recommends training as a way of reducing re-offending. The training provides prisoners with the skills and knowledge to motivate them towards sustainable employment on their release.

With our skills and experience we at JLT have been able to develop a flexible and responsive delivery offer working in collaboration with key priority groups, the unemployed, exoffenders, and the disenfranchised and local community areas of social and economic deprivation. We have established partnerships with Local Boroughs, Housing Associations, Third Sector groups and Government Funding Agencies. We actively respond to the market need and this has allowed us to commit to working within the Construction Industry to provide Apprenticeships to ensure the industry has an appropriately qualified supply of labour – the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time.
