Intermediate Construction Award Level 2 - ICA

• 15-week course through the CITB.
• This course covers the intermediate elements of a chosen trade.
• It will involve the construction of a portfolio and practical tasks.
• Offered in brickwork, carpentry, plastering and painting and decorating.
• Includes completing the CSCS card health & safety test
• Includes core knowledge test at the end of the course.

• Build brick walls using Stretch, Flemish and English bonds
• Build solid and cavity walling Arches, soldier course, brick-on-edge courses
• Wall copings
• Set out a basic building
• Cut bricks, coping and pipes
• Use access equipment
• Carryout slinging and signalling

ICA Carpentry & Joinery

• Use access equipment
• Use portable power tools Fix skirtings, architrave and hinged doors
• Erect truss roofs, doors, windows, floors, stairs and studwork Fix frames, kitchen cabinets, panelling and cladding
• Remedial and repair work
