JLT have been providing construction training on behalf of the Prison Service since 2004. We deliver accredited construction qualifications to prisoners in response to the Governments strategic review of Prison's. The review recognises the need for training as a way of reducing re-offending.
The training provides prisoners with the skills and knowledge to motivate them towards sustainable employment on their release and a real opportunity of achieving a life away from crime. With the construction industry indicating a significant shortfall in qualified skilled workers our training provides them with a real opportunity.
JLT currently operate in the following establishments:
- HMYOI Aylesbury
- HMRP Latchmere House
- HMP The Mount
- HMP Wandsworth
- Wormwood Scrubs
Our courses cover a range of construction skills including Bricklaying, Carpentry, Electrical, Painting & Decorating, Plastering and Plumbing. We deliver both Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications on behalf of City & Guilds and Constructionskills.
